"3
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not
notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your
brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log
in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own
eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your
brother's eye."
Matthew 7:3-5
"14 For if you forgive others
their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if
you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father
forgive your trespasses."
Matthew 6:14-15
These are possibly the
most forgotten words from Jesus among believers today. Comparing
ourselves to others, and pointing out their shortcomings usually stems
from our inability to understand the grace we have received from God. If
we cannot extend grace, it could be evidence that we might have never
received grace. Each must examine their own heart.
